These are the 2019 & 2022 vintage of our unSalted yarn which is the 3rd in our line of Michigan/Great Lakes Yarns. This vintage features lambswool and has slightly less twist creating a softer yarn with a bit more drape and close to the skin snuggles.
It is a 50/50 blend of Coopworth and Alpaca in a light worsted weight. The Coopworth fiber comes from Hidden Valley Farm in Wisconsin, and the Alpaca comes by way of The Alpaca Barbers from farmers across Michigan.
Coopworth is a breed that has a long staple length, a great crimp and a beautiful luster. We have made sweaters, scarves and even a skirt with this one-of-a-kind yarn.
